Prologue

When technology, greed, fanaticism and self-preservation combine, there becomes a point of no-turning-back. In the early 21st century. mankind couldn’t handle the perfect storm that finally emerged and unleashed the scimitar of our existence.

To save the human race, governments sent dozens of manned missions to the moon, Mars and beyond to repopulate for a desperate chance to secure the future of mankind. Twelve of them were destroyed or failed. Twenty-five succeeded leaving the future of mankind in the hands of a few.

For those billions of humans who weren’t lucky to make the space exodus, they spent their last year on earth in mourning, decadence, violence or love.

One of the most inspiring stories is Griffin Johnson’s last wish to run a marathon race with his friends and the love of his life, Sabrina. His wish came true that also inspired 100,000 others to join Griffin and friends for the annual and final Austin, TX Marathon held on the last day of earth.

Such intense inspiration doesn’t come without a cost. Intense popularity and visibility attract the jackals of attention who seek to murder, destroy and exploit. 

Griffin Johnson never wanted this attention nor this burden. But now that it has been forced upon him, Griffin must choose what to do with mankind’s Judgment Day and its fight in the battle between good vs evil for the last race.
